Red Hot Linen

So who says you can't wear a sweater in the middle of the summer?  I bought this linen sweater a few years ago and refuse to get rid of it.  The color and material are perfect for summer's casual outfits.  Not only can it be worn with pants and shorts, but it can also be worn as a cover-up over a swimsuit. While packing for my vacay to MI and FL, I tried to bring clothing that can be mixed and matched with lots of other items.  With the price of baggage fees that the airlines are now charging, your baggage can end up costing as much as a one-way plane ticket.  If you don't have a cross-body bag with chainlink handles, you're missing out.  They are convenient if you're shopping because it leaves your hands free and something about them just screams "classy."  Lastly, I'm wearing my favorite leopard wedges, which, seem to go well with just about everything.  Hope you all are enjoying the start of your summer.  Until next time...

Summer Breeze

Today is the first day of summer and I think my outfit is a personal reflection of what comes to mind when I think of summertime.  My pants are a pretty pastel blue which reminds of the ocean waters and the color of my shirt,, pinkish-purplish, reminds me of a fruitty non-alcoholic beverage.  The shoes are a pair of my favorite but I don't wear them often because they seriously hurt after wearing them for a short period of time.  However, the fringes can spice up a pair of jeans and a t-shirt or would look cute with a pencil skirt.  As you can probably tell by now, I love accessories.  They are the essentials to "seal the deal" of an outfit and with the bargains of Forever 21 and H&M, why not go accessory crazy?  On another note, I will be vacationing in Florida and Michigan for the next few weeks, so the outfit posts may be sporadic.  In the mean time follow me on Instgram @idreamoffashion12.  Have fashionable day.

FYI:  The wind was out of control today and it took forever to get a few decent pictures.

In Full Bloom

Coming to you with a quick post today and not many pictures.  I've finally figured out why I take so many pics but only manage to find a few that I deem suitable for posting.  The problem is that I am always frowning or squinting.  I think this has to do with the fact that I don't like taking pics solo and I want to focus on the attire and not my posing.  I am so not trying to be a model.  Since I have discovered the problem, I will definitely try to work on the frowning and squinting.  As for the outfit, I kept trying to pair these shorts with a colored shirt and it was not working out.  Although, I still think the right color and material will work, it just didn't happen for me today. Whenever I get in a shirt rut, I always fall back on a trusted white button-down.  If you don't have one, you need to place it in your arsenal.  The shorts are comfortable and speak for themselves.  Floral prints seem to be all the rage at the moment, but I have always liked them on a piece of clothing.  Lastly, my shoes are so comfortable.  I wore them for several hours and did not even have to whip out my flip-flops, which I always have on deck if I know that I will be standing or walking for a prolonged period of time.  I hope I can find them in a different color.  That's all folks.  Hopefully my next post will be frown and squint-free.

Red High

Hey All,

Today I'm wearing another pair of my favorite shorts.  These high-waisted red shorts are amazingly versatile and I receive tons of compliments every time I wear them.  I always seem to pair them with black or white tops so the next time I wear them I think I will color-block them with a purple or tan shirt.  I purchased my shoes a few weeks ago when I was in Michigan and realized that all I had packed were heels and flip-flops.  They are very comfortable and can be worn with tons of casual outfits.  It's raining here today but I managed to get some pictures taken in between storms.  Have a good week and and thanks for visiting.

Arm Candy

Hey All,

Whenever I see a cute piece of affordable jewelry, I like to snag it because you never know when it"ll come in handy when you're looking for just the right piece of accessory to give your outfit a pop.  With that being said, I always seem to gravitate toward the bracelets and necklaces whenever I'm in stores that carry costume jewelry such as F21 and H&M.  However, in the past, I was always coming home and throwing my bracelets in a box while continuously wearing the same few over and over again.  I couldn't see my collection because they were all piled on top of one another.  Lo and behold I walked into Ross and saw the below bracelet holder.  It is a perfect display piece and the top bar can also be used for necklaces.  The only drawback is that you will need more than one if you have lots of bracelets.  If you are in need of one of these holders, check out your nearest Ross store.  It was less than $10!!! To all my Michiganders, you will have to wait until you head down South because I know Ross is not located up there.  Otherwise, check out your nearest TJ Maxx or Marshalls.  They quite often carry different types of jewelry holders.  I will show you how I organize my necklaces, earrings, and rings at a later date.

Have a wonderful day.

Plaid Pops...Leopard Rocks

So...I finally mustered up the guts to start my own fashion blog.  My new camera from my auntie Ann Marie pretty much put the icing on the cake. First things first, this is all for fun, an opportunity for me to share fashion finds, and an outlet for me to express my sense of style.  Feel free to comment, ask questions, and/or make suggestions.  Lastly, I have 2 disclaimers:

1. This is my first time using my new camera, so bear with me.  As I get into the groove of things, the pictures and poses will get better.
2.  Beware: You will see these shorts and shoes quite often as they are comfortable, versatile, and my favorite. LOL.

Sidenote:  Plaid and leopard print...who would've thought those two would go together so wonderfully.
