Aztec and White

Happy Monday,

So the weather was absolutely gorgeous with temps in the 70's, however, one complaint...the wind was a bit much.  Thus, I had to take cover in the stairwell to get some half decent pics.  Sorry guys.  Anyhow, I don't know about you, but I love white jeans.  They can be dressed up with a sequin blazer or casualized (is that a word) with a denim shirt.  Today, I chose to pair an all white palette with an aztec-print sweater that I purchased in Houston a year ago.  I love this sweater.  The hem, print, and colors come together so well.  Hats off to whomever came up with the design.  I'm not a regular Old Navy shopper, but it was my lucky day when I happened upon this baby.  Believe it or not, I have worn it with dress pants and a blouse and the pairing came together just as well.  Hopefully, the wind will be more friendly to me in the coming days.  Have a great week.

Simplicity

Happy Friday,

It really does not get any simpler than black and white.  The colors are understated but can make such a big statement at the same time.  I decided to break up the monotony by adding a hint of color with my Zara shopper tote.  As you can tell from my previous posts, I love me some leather pieces.  I have these pants in two additional colors and the more worn in, the better they feel.  Well, that's all folks.  Thanks for visiting the blog and until next time...

Beware of the Skulls

Happy Tuesday,

This is what I wore on a nice, brisk, sunny afternoon with temperatures in the mid 60's.  Looking for something to wear that allows you to enjoy the breeze, but keeps you warm enough to ditch your jacket?  Try a light-weight knit sweater.  The unexpected pop-factor can be found in the open back, which has black skulls printed all over it. As soon as I saw it, I knew had to have it.  I have a thing for skulls on clothing when they are done in good taste.  Remember when I told you in this post how faux leather is just as good as the real thing, with a much more affordable price tag?  If you could see these shorts in person, you would not believe that they aren't the real deal.  Throw on a pair of black opaque tights and you are good to go.  Lastly, since I'm wearing a neutral color palette, I threw in my neon, coral clutch to spice it up a bit.  Have a good week my friends.  Until next time...

Mint and Hunter Green with Envy

Hello All,

Today I'm wearing a mint green blazer and blouse with a pair of hunter green pants.  These pants have two of my favorite qualities.  They are high-waisted and somewhat scretchy.  One of my pet peeves are pants that constantly ride down your backside or have no elasticity, making them uncomfortable.  I'm honestly starting to believe that I can teach a class on bargain shopping.  I'm not frugal, whatsoever, but I definitely know how to get the best bang for my buck.  This was my first time pairing two of the same colors against each other and I think I like it.  I bought the blazer and blouse almost a year apart and they are a perfect match.  Who says you have to wait until Easter to wear pastels?  Thanks for visiting the blog.  Until next time...

All Spiked Out

Happy Monday,

Looking for a cute colored skirt that will pair with almost anything?  Try a natural color such as this faux leather skirt from H&M.  Pale pink would also go with tons of colors and prints.  This is, no doubt, my favorite skirt in my closet.  Nowadays, there is really no need to pay top dollar for genuine leather.  Faux leather has the look and feel of the real deal with a much more affordable price tag.  Today, I chose to pair this skirt with a rich eggplant blouse and opaque tights.  Since the blouse has a high collar, no necklace is necessary.  As far as the  shoes are concerned, no explanation needed.  This babies are high and are my secret weapon.  The spikes will definitely give any outfit rock-star vibe. As always, thanks for visiting the blog and have a great week.

Take Two...Vanessa Bryant

Hello Everyone,

For the most part, I have always been a fan of Vanessa Bryant's style.  She appears to be just as comfortable in a pair of 6 inch Christian Louboutin's as well as a pair of her husband's (Kobe) new running shoes.  I love her style even more when she gives us a rare glimpse of her smile.  When I saw this picture of her at the Lakers' Christmas game, I instantly knew that I wanted to do a "Take Two" post.  Her look is simple, yet chic and since I already had the items in my closet, minus the Louboutins, of course, recreating this look was a no brainer.  It's amazing how a blazer can add such a touch of class to a pair of jeans.  I don't think I will ever have enough of them in my closet.  So what do you guys think?  Did I do a good job of recreating Vanessa's look?  More outfit recreations in the future.  They are so much fun.

My Photographer Is Back

Hello Everyone,

It's a New Year and I am glad to be back.  My photographer took a mini-vacay for Christmas Break and her absence pretty much shut down the show.  Who would have thought that an 8 year-old would be such an important aspect of my blog.  Well, I guess there is no blog without a photographer.  With that being said, let the pictures begin...

Thanks for all your support since the launch of my blog in June 2012.  I look forward to sharing more of the world of fashion through my eyes.

P.S.  It's a new year but I will continue to roll with my denim shirt in 2013.  If you have not gotten one, what are you waiting on?  It is such a versatile item and should definitely be added to your wardrobe, if you have not already done so.

Until next time...

My Photographer...Bianca
