Gingham Girl

Hello,

I love gingham shirts because they can easily transition from casual to dressy and vice-versa.  I like them even more if the material has a bit of stretch to it because the fit is much better and accentuates your frame.  I used to have a beautiful yellow gingham shirt in my wardrobe and for some strange reason, decided to get rid of it while in the midst of moving.  Although I'm sure it was out of the frustration of packing, I really do miss that shirt.  Prior to my going to Boston, I had not worn this denim vest in a very long time.  I'm not sure why but I now have a new found love for it.  Somehow, it manages to give a little edge to whatever outfit I am wearing.  The stud detailing on the collar toughens up the shirt and pants, which are more conservative pieces.  You can get away with this type of edgy/conservative combo in some work environments.  If you are looking for denim vest or jacket, there are tons in Forever 21, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and many other stores as they are hot items for the upcoming Fall season, although you can wear them year-round. Yhey are great layering pieces.  Do you guys own any gingham shirts and if so, what color(s)?

Details: Pants and Vest: F21, Shirt: NY & Co., Shoes: H by Halston (Bakers), Handbag: Gucci, Necklace/Ring: Charlotte Russe, Watch: Aldo

  1. Very nice, yes, I have a long sleeve and sleeveless red and white gingham shirt. I did a tribute to the "picnic table cloth" on my blog earlier this summer when I wore it- lol
